“Sometimes when cooking there are unexpected visitors!”
Inspired by the time I spent with the longhorns outside my home in Dallas, Texas, as well as the outdoor picnics I used to attend during the Black Arts Festival in Denver, Colorado.

“When a loyal Samurai can no longer ignore the tyranny of her beloved Empress, she must gather the inner strength to finally take a stand.”
Inspired by the end of the Heian Era of Imperial Japan, a time where tensions between the Samurai shogunate and Imperial family were on the rise right before Japan switched to a militaristic rule. It was interesting to ponder the question, what if the Samurai's take-over back then was much more personal?
This is a 4-week student film made with a team of 4 animators, in association with StudioX.

This was a one day claymation challenge focusing on exploring the 12 principles of animation with simple forms only.
“A clarinetist prepares for the audition of a lifetime, but relationship tensions prevent them from ever taking to the stage.”
I’ve played clarinet for over ten years, and used to compete in All-State etude competitions, as well as play with an HBCU-style showband before I left for college. This film explored a time in high school when I once gave up clarinet completely, for the wrong reasons. Luckily, I’ve since picked it back up!
The score is Rhapsody for B flat Clarinet by Willson Osborne, performed by me in what was meant to be my last time playing clarinet.

“A wild (wild) horse is going town to town, stealing each sherrif’s hat!”
Artists had exactly 24 hours to respond to a prompt and create a short film. The theme for this challenge was Wild, Wild West. No sleep was had this day!
